Halloween was chilly yet again! But, thanks to daylight savings, we had a lot of light to run from house to house! This year, Max wanted to be something scary…so we compromised with the Headless Horseman. Megan was Cookie Monster, and Mia, a perfect Jasmine. They had a lot of fun trick or treating with friends in the neighborhood. This year, because of braces and retainers, only Mia (and mom and dad) could eat the candy. BUT Dr. Underwood (our ortho) had a candy buy back program where the kids got money for each pound of candy they sold. The total was 15 pounds of candy! So, Max and Megan were happy with $$ and Mia with candy. All good!

Boo At The Zoo
Every year, we go to Boo at the Zoo. The kids have fun getting treats and we walk around the zoo at night. It is a really cool thing they do. However, it is cold! So, we bundled up and headed out for a great time.
Megan got to ride her 1st pony! She was so excited that we let her take a ride. Our animal lover is going to have a farm someday..I just know it!

The Pumpkin Patch
Mia’s friend Mia (another one!) had a birthday party at the pumpkin patch. What a perfect time to see the pumpkins, roast some marshamellows, have a hay ride, and celebrate her friend! She had a great time!

Party Time–Buckeye Style
In addition to his trip, we celebrated with friends for Scott’s 40th Birthday bash. These are our best friends of many years! The Buckeyes were playing Nebraska, so it was a perfect time to celebrate! Although they lost, it was a good time to celebrate Scott and have fun with our friends.
Here’s Mia and one of her besties Alexa – they were wearing the same outfit!
And here’s our good friends and neighbors Lisa and Jeff. We are so happy they have moved into our neighborhood! Our friends of over 20 years, Dennis and LeAnn.
And our friends of over 17 years , J and Angela.
We are so blessed to have these families in our lives! Thanks for helping Scott celebrate 40 years!

Happy 40th Scott!
We celebrated Scott’s 40th with a Buckeye cake from Cold Stone (his traditional cake), but my parents couldn’t join us since MJ (below) had the stomach bug. She didn’t even get a piece of Dad’s cake!
The following weekend, I sent Max and Scott to Texas to enjoy a weekend with the VanderHoek family. Rangers, golf, and a Cowboy's game. My man was happy! I’m so glad he could enjoy time away!
