9 Months Together!

Last week marked 9 months of having Mia a part of our family. It is hard to believe that she was never here, because the last 9 months have been a ball! Mia has thrived in our family, the scared little baby in December is not the Mia we know today. She has definitely progressed and become a Hathaway! Here are some pictures from the last 9 months. A lot has changed as you can see...especially the hair! (and smiles)
Thanks for being such a wonderful girl Mia! We love you!

Off to 2nd Grade!

2nd Grade here I come!

The whole family bid Max farewell! (Daddy's taking the picture)

Don't Mom's flowers look great?

Max had his 1st day of school today. The bus had door to door service and even in the pouring rain "Mr. Bob" got him to and from school OK! So far so good with the new school - he had a good day and his favorite time was recess, lunch, and snack...oh and singing a marshmallow song (which gave him a treat). Exercise and eating - that's what I send him to school for! He says Mrs. Testerman is super great and he had music today too. I'm sure it will take him a while to adjust. Now he's off to have cake - a 1st day of school tradition I started in Kindergarten.

Umbrella Fun!

After we got home from the lake, Mia and Megan tried out the umbrella when it started pouring...who said rain couldn't be fun?

Last Bit of Summer Fun

We took a quick trip up north to the lake for a few days. The weather was cloudy and cold, but we managed to take the kids to putt-putt, go karts and bumper boats. No swimming as Megan has an ear infection and Mia a cold. But, they had fun at the traditional Marblehead Lighthouse visit - Mia's 1st trip! We are home now and ready to start school this week.

Here's to Lake Erie!

Piano Camp

Max and Megan took Piano camp last week. All week they learned about music through fun, games, and playing! They even participated in a recital on Friday night. Max was part of the "older class" and they performed a memorized song and Megan led the younger class in a song about apples. Luckily all the grandparents were in town to enjoy the fun (and Mom and Dad got roped into signing Max up for piano!) Afterward we headed to our Powell favorite - Graeter's Ice Cream. I think the kids were most excited about that!

Enjoy!

Mia dancing along at the recital (with swim goggles to entertain her of all things!)

Here's Megan getting ready to lead her song!

Welcome to the Hathaway Family Website!

Life's little blessings for us are the times spent with our family and friends. Since our journey to China and move to Ohio are complete, we thought we would start a new site for family and friends to keep up with our news. We hope you enjoy it!
