8 Year Old Fun!

Well it's been quite a weekend. Instead of a party, we told Max he could invite a friend to stay the night. Our families ate at Red Robin on Saturday, then we headed home for some boy fun. We surprised Max with an early birthday present - a new Black Nintendo DS. (And Jenny he wants you to know it looks just like yours!) He was so excited. Gabe and he played it all evening and Gabe even showed us how to hook up wirelessly...so Mom and Max can now challenge each other!

Yesterday, we had the grandparents come over to celebrate with a Hot Wheels cake. We had a great time being together - and it was such a blessing for Max to have family around on his birthday! It is so fun to see him growing up! He had some more fun with Star Wars figures, new board games, a new Wii game (thanks Matt and Katy), and the big hit - The Dangerous Book for Boys. He took it to school today and made a paper airplane this morning before school. It is a really fun book.
