Olympics 2024??

Mia has always been flexible. Whenever we did diaper changes, she'd tuck her feet behind her head. Even my mom has asked if we ever thought about getting her in gymnastics. So, I asked her after the Olympics if she wanted to try gymnastics with her friend, Alexa, and of course she said yes - after all, anything that involves Alexa she jumps up and down!

We go to a gymnastics class which does the trampoline, rings, balance beams, and bars. They also work on stance, feet "apart / together" like jumping jacks, and most of all having fun! The first week, she did the bars and rings with ease...none of the other kids could get their toes up without help, and Mia just did it. In fact the 1st thing she tried was the bar- and she lifted her legs up, back through, and on top of the bar. Even Miss Mel, her teacher, said -"Wow Mia!". She really has an amazing ab strength!

Scott said I needed to take pictures this week since he hadn't seen this amazing talent..so here are a few. I may need to break down and buy the cute leotard....especially if she is already ahead of the game! Perhaps we should start training....2024 Here we come!

Mia loves the rings!

Up and through...so easy for her! Working on touching her nose to the bar.

The best part for Mia - getting stamps on her feet!

She looks like a natural.

Well, she's got the ability so maybe you should keep it up. Next thing you know you'll be taking out a second mortgage like all Olympic gymnast families!
