The 2nd graders performed their musical this week – The Principal and the Pea. It was a great performance from all and so fun to watch these kids. Megan didn’t have a speaking part – but at the last minute a child was sick and she asked the music teacher if she could do it. So proud of her for taking the initiative!
Her 2nd grade has a great program they call “Pay it Forward” and they even have special t-shirts with the logo. All year, they have been doing service projects for the community – and after the performance we saw a slide show of all they have done so far. The most recent was performing at two nursing homes in the area. What a special treat for them to hear this show!
It is remarkable to me at such a young age how excited these kids are about Paying it Forward! We are so proud to be at a school with so many character teachings! I for one enjoyed seeing my little performer – even the outfit was all her pick. I love letting Megan be Megan. I wouldn’t have it any other way! Great Job sweetie!
