Today marked the start of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. Max is playing for the 2nd year in a row, this time on a 3/4th grade team. Megan decided to try cheerleading. Of course she's only cheering for Max one game of the season....so we're running back and forth most Saturdays!
Those of you who know Megan really well will think this picture is a MIRACLE! She's actually got ribbons in her hair! (and wants them!)
Max's game was 1st. Although he didn't score a basket, he was amazing on defense (so much so, he was called twice for fouls), and he rebounded a ton. They won their 1st game 36-28.
The cheerleaders do a 1/2 time cheer to each side of the court.

Sitting on the sidelines getting ready to cheer. They cheer through mos tof the game. Her favorite is "Y-E-L-L Everybody yell Go Upward!". I think she loves the megaphone!
Of course being the little sister, Mia was dragged out in the snow and ice to watch both games. She was a trooper thanks to licorice and corn pops. Next time I need to pack healthier snacks! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for making it out in the weather too! The kids love it when you come to games!
