On the 10th Day of Christmas...

My true love gave to me:

a 10 hour car ride
9 or more Daisy Scouts
8 trillion snowflakes
7 Christmas songs
6 new ornaments
5 hanging stockings
4 sides to a gingerbread house
3 smiling faces
2 singing angels
and an elf named Hermie.

Scott and Megan took a day trip to Pennsylvania to see Uncle Grant who turned 90 last month, and to decorate the graves for Christmas time. Uncle Grant is Scott's mom's oldest brother. He has outlived everyone, and he says he can't wait to be in heaven. But we say he looks awesome for 90 and we love our mini visits when we go back! Megan loves Uncle Grant because he has candy jars in his house and always tells her to help herself! Megan was a trooper and loved every minute of her time with Dad. She actually requested that no one else go, because she wanted a day with just dad. This time of year, although sometimes hard, and you miss the ones who have passed, it makes it a little easier when you are able to respect them. This day was no different.
