On the 9th Day of Christmas...

My true love gave to me:
9 or more Daisy scouts,
8 trillion snowflakes,
7 Christmas songs,
6 new ornaments,
5 hanging stockings,
4 sides to a gingerbread house,
3 smiling faces,
2 singing angels,
and an elf named Hermie.

Megan's Daisy troop visited Willow Brook in Delaware. It is a nursing/assisted living home nearby. The ladies and men were entertained by the Daisy's singing various Christmas tunes. After a snack, we were able to visit with them. My friend Colleen was visiting with a lady who loved her Christmas tree earrings. Colleen asked her if she wanted to try them on..and she did. So after Colleen put them in her ears, she said Merry Christmas, and the lady replied..it has been years since I've opened a Christmas present. This night reminded all of us not to forget these people. Some have no families and some have families who don't care for them. It was a great night of remembering what Christmas is all about.
